COVID-19 Update March 31, 2020
Posted 31 March 2020, 5:51 pm NDT
We would like to thank everyone who are following the Provincial, Federal and Municipal recommendations and doing your best to keep our town and everyone in it healthy. By now, most of us have been getting accustomed to a different way of life. Even though isolation may take us away from our usual daily routine, we remind everyone, now is not the time to become complacent. Remain vigilant with hygiene, social distancing if required to be out, and isolation as much as possible.
In an effort to minimize the number of residents in and out of North West River, as most of you are aware by now, Coop delivers to door.
Another concern we have is resident's access to prescriptions. If this is a concern for you, and you require delivery, please call the Town office. We will continue to work on this issue, as we determine the need.
Garbage Pickup will maintain regular schedule, with same process as last week. We ask everyone to put their garbage out by side of road NOT in cans after 8:00 am. Although this is great time for spring cleaning, we want to remind residents that ONLY household garbage is to be placed at roadside for pickup. The Town Garbage truck will be parked by Community Center during the week for anyone who would like to take their excess HOUSEHOLD garbage there. This is to reduce the handling of bags by Town employees. Please try your best to reduce your amount of garbage, it is all a help! Our annual spring cleanup will take place in June.
