Municipality of the Town of North West River

Nominations of candidates for election to the Council for
the Municipality of the Town of North West River will be received between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, on August 10th, 11th & 12th, 2010 at the Town Office,
1 Mission Road, North West River, NL.

Nominations shall be in writing and state the name and civic address of the candidate and shall be signed by the Proposer...

The RCMP advise that there have been several recent break-ins to vehicles, which they are actively investigating. The vehicles had been left unlocked.

All residents are urged to lock their vehicles and homes - don't be an easy target for thieves.

Report any suspicious activity to the RCMP at 497-8700.

It is ILLEGAL to set off Fireworks within the Town Boundaries.(Sec 1. of the Towwn of NWR Nuisance Regulations, 1995)

1. No person shall create a noise within the boundaries of the
Town through use of firearms, fireworks, or other similar
noise-making devices, except as may be approved by Council
and subject to the approval of the appropriate law
enforcement or other regulatory agencies.
