As residents are aware, as of 8:00 PM, Friday, February 12, 2021, the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador is at COVID-19 Alert Level 5.

Life at Level 5:
• Follow Public Health Guidance.
• Stay at home as much as possible, except to get essentials like groceries and medications.
• Limit contact with others to your immediate household bubble.
• If you have COVID-19 symptoms, please use the Assessment and Testing Referral tool or call 811 if you do not have internet access.

Public Spaces and Gatherings:
• Wakes and visitations are prohibited.
• Funerals, burials, weddings, and religious and cultural ceremonies are limited to no more than 5 people, including the officiant.
• all other gatherings are limited to those individuals within the same household.
• All public buildings in Town of North West River Closed
• Outdoor activities, including skating at the rink, walking, snowshoeing, are encouraged, as long as physical distancing can be maintained between household bubbles.

These measures, though not what anyone of us wanted to hear again, are necessary to be proactive against the spread of the Coronavirus variant B117, this variant can spread without a person being symptomatic.

ALL ESSENTIAL SERVICES WILL BE MAINTAINED, INCLUDING:

• Water & Sewer Services
• Administrative Services by phone and email
• Roads (Snow Clearing)
• Residential Roadside Garbage Pickup
• Fire & Emergency Services
