2025 Municipal Election Dates Announced
NOTICE OF NOMINATION

Information for the Public
Release Date: August 26, 2025

Election Day: Thursday, October 2, 2025.

Polling Location: Council Chambers in the Municipal Building at 1 Mission Rd.

If you are considering running for Municipal Council, please be advised of the following:

Nomination Days: Monday September 8 and Tuesday September 9 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Town Office.

Nominations shall be in writing and state the name and civic address of the candidate and shall be signed by the Proposer and Seconder, both of whom shall be present together with the candidate who shall sign, signifying his or her acceptance.
If a candidate is not in Town on nomination days, his/her proposer and seconder can complete a required form.

1. Canadian Citizen of the full age of eighteen years.

2. Resident of the municipality for at lease 30 days immediately prior to September 8th, 2025

3. Not indebted to Municipal Council for any arrears of taxes or other charges.

4. Not otherwise disqualified under the Municipal Elections Act.

5. Every candidate for Election to the Council shall, at the time of his or her nomination, deposit with the Returning Officer the non-refundable sum of ten dollars ($10.00).
