The Regular Council Meeting for November is Monday November 1. Residents are reminded that Regular Council meetings as per Rules and Procedures are the first Monday of each month, unless otherwise posted. Residents wanting to attend by phone, can do so by calling the town office at 497 8533 for call in information by 4:30,the same day as meeting. Any resident wishing to present must call no later than 12:00 noon the same day as meeting.

NL Hydro has advised us that there is a potential for a power outage from 1:00am - 4:00am over night tonight. We will be switched to gas turbine while work is being done at Churchill Falls. If the load is too high, North West River and Sheshatshiu will be dropped from the line.

The Road is currently open. We are trying to release water pressure from a culvert that is blocked by a beaver dam. We may have to close the road for a short period of time.

With that said, we are trying to mitigate any foreseeable issues that may disrupt the travelling public.

Safety is of upmost importance with regards to emergency situation such as these.

Please be advised there is flooding on a portion of the North West River Rd.
we are in contact with MHA Perry Trimper and Road crew are on site. We will give an update as soon as we can.
